Diva T. Kano, 62, of Columbus, passed from this life at 8:17 a.m. Monday, August 19, 2019 at her home.
Diva was born November 17, 1956, in Bebedouro, SP Brazil, the daughter of Masaru and Motoko Kuchiishi Tukahara.
Mrs. Kano married Nelson S. Kano, July 4, 1981.
She was the business manager at Sandcrest Dental and a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.
Mrs. Kano was actively involved within the Brazilian community.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years; daughters, Luciana (Reuben) Wilson of Columbus, Giuliana (Brian) Tu of Columbus and Ilyana (Stephen) Owens of West Virginia; grandchildren, Kiyomi, Taisuke and Mitsumi Wilson, Grayson Tu and Carter Owens; and her sister, Lucia (Augusto) Iwassaki of Brazil.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church with Father Clem Davis officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike.
A rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.
