Grable — named for her pretty legs — is a young black and tan hound mix, about 10 months old. She is great with people, including children and other dogs. She will be a great dog for the busy family that also likes their quiet time. Hansel and Gretel are 4-month-old siblings that are very close, have been through a lot together and should be adopted together. They had enormous, life-threatening hernias when they came in, but after surgery and a slightly difficult recovery period, they are doing great now. They are a bit timid at first but a very sweet and given a little time, they will be wonderful companions. They are both altered, current on their vaccinations and are feline leukemia-, FIV- and heart worm-negative. Both pets are available from Bartholomew County Humane Society, 4415 E. County Road 200 S. Adoption charges help pay expenses of spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip identification and other health procedures. Pet support kits are given with adoptions.
