Railroad club swap meet Saturday

The Columbus Area Railroad Club is hosting its free, annual open house/swap meet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday during the Johnson County Park Heartnut Community Festival at Johnson County Park, 2949 E. North Road in Nineveh. Train layouts will operate from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

One of the club’s most visible community involvements comes each year at the annual Christmas Village at The Commons, where its often-antique model trains, complete with smoke, lights and more, usher children and children-at-heart into the past.

The club formed in 1994 is dedicated to sharing interests in model railroading and history with people throughout south central Indiana. Other activities and offerings during the festival include radio-controlled planes, food and more.
