• Coaches Kylah and Karina and the junior high volleyball players for volunteering Saturday at the Hauser volleyball tournament.

• the kind Christian man who paid for our breakfast on Friday at The Hanger from the four Nazarene men, because his act shows that there is still good in this world.

• the couple who bought our dinner at the Cracker Barrel on Sunday evening, because it was appreciated.

• President Obama for giving us eight years of what an American president should represent.

• the lady at Fisher’s Flower Basket, from Yumi King, and Sharon Phillips.

• all the girls at Kramer’s for making Shorty’s 88th birthday a big surprise, and to all 88 who signed his card, love June and Shorty.

• Colene Rich, for fixing me a to-go plate from the Eagles Sunday and to J.D. Muir for bringing it to me, from Betty.

Onions to …

• the vehicles at the intersection of Central and Parkside that didn’t stop at the flashing crosswalk for the little boy to cross safely.

• all the people that think the United States is the only one that can help them.

• the columnist who doesn’t realize that walking away into nonexistence is walking into hell.

• employees of a local store that walk to a gas station on their breaks, then throw snack wrappers, lottery ticket stubs, empty milk bottles, pop bottles, cigarette boxes, and other trash in yards on their way back to work.

• the trains that come through the area late at night and early morning.

• the adult softball player at Lincoln Park for the poor sportsmanship and lewd motion after the game in front of young kids watching the game.

• those who support the division promoted by this president and yet claim to be Christians.

• those who view this president as the torch bearer of the Republican Party.

• the car that ran the red light at 22nd and Franklin streets.

• American taxpayers paying for the vice president and his entourage staying in rooms belonging to the Trump company.

• the president for attempting to force Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 presidential election by launching an investigation into Joe Biden.
