Panthers roll to victory

NORTH VERNON — Lance Bailey returned an interception 24 yards for a touchdown, completed 12 of 23 passes for 375 yards and four scores and ran for another touchdown to lead Jennings County to a 57-27 Hoosier Hills Conference win against Madison.

Bailey threw scoring passes of 70, 63 and 18 yards to Jared Corya and 93 yards to Logan Forney. Owen Miller ran 32 yards for the other touchdown for the Panthers (2-3, 1-2).

Miller carried 15 times for 98 yards. Corya caught five passes for 168 yards, and Forney had two catches for 128 yards and intercepted three passes on defense.

Hawks fall to Northpoint

The Columbus Hawks fell to a strong Northpoint Panthers team 25-14, 25-8, 25-14.

Sarah Lormior led the Hawks with 12 digs and two aces. McKiah Shearer and Hailey Beth Rutledge each pounded one kill, Shearer had two assists, Natalie Arnold tallied five digs and Abby Planalp served two aces.
