An Indianapolis man was arrested after a tip that a possibly intoxicated driver was traveling southbound on I-65 near the 90 mile marker.

Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies were sent to the area at 10:19 p.m. Thursday.  Deputy Adam Warner located the vehicle near the Taylorsville exit and initiated a traffic stop.

The driver, identified as Brandon Arnold, 26, Indianapolis, appeared to be under the influence of some type of drug, deputies said.

Following clearance from Columbus Regional Hospital, Arnold was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated – endangerment and possession of marijuana.

He has since been released on $8,500 bond, jail officials said.
