COLUMBUS
Sandra Kay Armstrong, 63, of Columbus, passed away at 9:38 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2019, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Sandra was born on February 13, 1956, to Charles A. Simpson and Della M. Weber.
She married Harold E. Armstrong on June 15th 1972.
Sandra was retired from Toyota. She enjoyed cooking, going to Tennessee, but more importantly, spending time with her family and her beloved pets.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Jones officiating. Calling will be from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Survivors include her children, Jennifer (Clay) Estes of Edinburgh, Jon Weber and Cassie Weber, both of Columbus; sisters, Janet (Mike) Paden of Batesville, Amanda (Gary) Scheitlin of Ft. Wayne and Shellie (Kevin) Giles of Mt. Auburn; grandchildren, Kylee Weber, Ashlee Weber and Checli Talkington; 13 great- grandchildren; and all of her adopted children from Clifford.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Della Simpson; biological father, Carl Burton; husband, Harold E. Armstrong on October 15, 2012; and son, Gary Armstrong on July 13, 2014.
