Madison (1-7, 1-4 HHC) at Columbus East (6-2, 5-0 HHC)
» Game time: 7 p.m.
» Last year: Columbus East won 56-0
» Last week’s results: Columbus East beat Seymour 14-7; Madison lost to New Albany 40-0

» Coaches: Bob Gaddis (321-139 in 41st year, including 203-39 in 19th year at East); LeRoy Wilson (1-7 in first year at Madison)
» Key players: Madison QB Parker Jones, RB-S Trenton Barnes, WR Colin Yancey, K Trent Stockdale; East QB-DB Malachi Parks, RB-WR Lance Greiwe, WR Dalton Back, WR-S Tyler Settle, DE Seth Chandler; LB Kai Stidham; CB Zander Gentry
» What to watch for: The Olympians can wrap up the outright Hoosier Hills Conference title and post their 13th consecutive undefeated conference season with a win. East has won 89 straight HHC games and 100 consecutive games overall, including postseason, against conference opponents. The Cubs lone win was a 21-20 decision at Bedford North Lawrence in Week 4. Malachi Parks will start at quarterback for the Olympians in place of the injured Cole Gilley. A few other injured East starters, including running back Mark McDonald, likely won’t play in hopes of being healthy when the Class 6A sectional begins in two weeks.
» Prediction: Columbus East 56, Madison 7
Terre Haute South (5-3, 2-2 CI) at Columbus North (4-4, 2-2 CI)
» Game time: 7 p.m.
» Last year: Columbus North won 50-6
» Last week’s results: Columbus North lost to Bloomington North 27-7; Terre Haute South lost to Southport 33-27
» Coaches: Tim Bless (146-96 in 22nd year, including 134-87 in 20th year at North); Tim Herrin (26-46 in seventh year at Terre Haute South)
» Key players: Terre Haute South QB Caleb Stultz, RB Allen Haire, WR James Mallory, LB Wyatt Maxwell; Columbus North QB Luke Hammons, RB Blake Huffman, WR-DB Hunter Huser, TE-DE Mitchel Collier, OT JJ Montgomery, DE Montez Mitchell, LB Landon Robbins
» What to watch for: Mathematically, the Bull Dogs don’t have a chance to win the Conference Indiana title, but they can still finish in a tie for second. While Southport and Bloomington North, both of which are 3-1 in the conference, battle for the title tonight, the winner of the Columbus North-Terre Haute South game will tie for second with Bloomington South and the loser of the Bloomington North-Southport game. The Braves have lost three of four since a 4-0 start. Their season began with a 28-12 upset of Evansville Central, last year’s Class 4A state runner-up.
» Prediction: Columbus North 28, Terre Haute South 21
