COLUMBUS
Edward K. Street, 83, of Columbus, passed away at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Edward was born May 5, 1936, in Boaz, Alabama, the son of Kenneth and Leara-Bell Rigsby Street. On March 20, 1970, he married Helga Pfeffer.
Mr. Street served in United States Army and loved gardening roses. He retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1988.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Helga; children, Michael (Vivian) Street, Gregory (Lora) Street, both of North Carolina, Tobias (Corina) Street of Brown County, Brett (Shawnna) Street of Jackson County; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Ferrell (Margaret) Street, Sherell Street, both of Crothersville; sister, Judy (Kenneth) White of Alabama; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Barbara Combs.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver and Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Martin E. Wright and John Hundley officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Ohio Chapel Cemetery where military honors will be presented.
