Stabbing suspect held without bond

A local man arrested as a suspect in a stabbing incident is being held in the Bartholomew County Jail with no bond.

Ross K. Stroud, 30, Columbus, was arrested Wednesday after being questioned about his involvement in a stabbing reported at 5:41 a.m. Wednesday in the 2200 block of Autumn Lane in the Harvest Meadows Subdivision in Taylorsville.

The victim, a male in his early 20s, suffered multiple stab wounds in his upper body, Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies said. The victim was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital but his condition is not being released at this time.

Stroud was arrested on a preliminary charge of Level 3 felony aggravated battery, deputies said.
