SPENCER
Martha F. Kinser, 80, of Spencer, Indiana, formerly of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Owen Valley Health Campus in Spencer.
Mrs. Kinser was born May 11, 1939, in DeRossett, Tennessee, the loving daughter of Dallas and Ida Bell Rice Cooley. On September 17, 1982, Martha married Roy Kinser; he preceded her in death October 6, 2014.
Mrs. Kinser retired from Cosco Inc after 30 plus years of service.
A Christian lady, Mrs. Kinser was a faithful member of Northview Assembly of God and she enjoyed participating in Bible studies.
Mrs. Kinser was passionate about crafts; she enjoyed making jewelry and pottery.
Mrs. Kinser is survived by her children, Keith (Charlene) Cooley of Burkesville, Kentucky, Brenda (Michael) Hasselburg of Spencer and Kay Elkins of Florida; a brother, Tom Cooley of Sparta, Tennessee; a sister, Kathy Smith of Greenwood; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mrs. Kinser was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Ida Bell Cooley; brother, Bobby Cooley; sister, Jeanette Bacon; and three other siblings.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike; the Reverend Don Kinser will officiate.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kinser will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Duncan Cemetery in Brown County.
