North swimmers sweep Seymour

SEYMOUR — The Columbus North girls won all 12 events, and the Bull Frog boys won 11 of the 12 in rolling to easy swimming victories Tuesday at Seymour.

The North boys won 139-46. The Bull Frog girls posted a 126-60 victory.

Betsy King won the 200-yard freestyle (1 minute, 59.65 seconds) and 100 backstroke (1:03.90), Erica Samuel took the 200 individual medley (2:15.03) and 100 breaststroke (1:12.28) and Riddhi Garg captured the 50 freestyle (26.67) and 100 freestyle (58.70) to lead the North girls.

Also for the Bull Frogs, Naomy Argueta Ventura won the diving competition (148.10), Olivia Morlok took the 100 butterfly (1:02.79) and Karlie Brown captured the 500 freestyle (5:51.81). North swept the 200 medley (2:00.28), 200 freestyle (1:45.54) and 400 freestyle (3:50.30) relays.

For the boys, Christopher Lee won the 200 freestyle (1:49.20) and 100 freestyle (50.42), and Daniel Utterback captured the 50 freestyle (23.14) and 100 butterfly (58.58).

Other individual winners for the Bull Frogs were Cole Ehara in the 200 IM (2:14.76), Cole Wheeler in diving (188.90), Tristen Cook in the 500 freestyle (5:21.68) and Aidan McAlister in the 100 backstroke (1:01.72). North swept the 200 medley (1:50.94), 200 freestyle (1:36.74) and 400 freestyle (3:52.33) relays.
