Thomas (Tom) L. Leslie, 73, of Greenwood, passed away on Monday, December 16. He was born April 23, 1946 in Columbus, Indiana to Arvine and Mary Leslie. He married Kathy David on January 6, 1968. She survives. Other survivors include: a daughter and son, Jill Leslie of Greenwood and Matt (Alison) Leslie, of Bloomington. Two grandchildren, Emmett and Clara Leslie. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mareeta Ozment,
He was a member of the Fairlawn Baptist Church in Columbus. He graduated from Columbus (North) High School in 1964.
He was a loving husband, father and “Gramps” who truly had a heart of gold. Loving, patient, kind, hard-working and selfless are just a few words to describe Tom. He loved animals, especially his Boxer, Mollie who passed away this past winter. He loved history, museums and tinkering with just about anything mechanical. He and Kathy were married for 50 years.
A private family gathering will be held in Tom’s honor. Due to his love of animals, donations can be made to a Humane Society or animal rescue of your choice. Tom also had a passion for golf and donations can also be made to the Indiana Golf Foundation.
