INDIANAPOLIS
Jeffrey “Jeff” L. Thixton, 50, of Indianapolis, passed away at 8:22 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital.
Jeff was born January 18, 1969, in Columbus, Indiana.
He was a project manager with Rieth-Riley Construction and had over 20 years of experience in this occupation. Mr. Thixton loved his family and was a very hard worker. Jeff also enjoyed watching his college age sons play tennis and baseball.
Survivors include his mother, Pamela (Kenneth) Newland of Columbus; father, Rodger Thixton of N.C.; sons, Tye Thixton, Trey Thixton, both of Greenwood; brother, Jamie (Tammy) Thixton, Jeremy (Brittney) Newland, also of Columbus, Tyler Thixton; sister, Heather (TJ) Thixton-Grapperhaus, both of N.C.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Norma Jean Blaney, Alice Thixton-Galbraith, Betty Foist and grandfather, Albert Mendenhall.
The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
