Hege Tapke honored with Columbus East Wall of Fame

Stacy Hege Tapke, Class of 1996, was honored with a place on the Columbus East High School Wall of Fame Friday night.

Hege Tapke was chosen by a committee from a list of about 50 potential candidates to receive the honor.

Hege Tapke is the first woman in history to be elected Kenton County Attorney in 2014, working in the Kentucky Government Center in Covington.

She attended a reception prior to the Eat game and was presented her plaque on the Wall of Fame and a certificate. The former Olympian cheerleader was also recognized during halftime of the Columbus East-Bloomington North basketball game.
