ISP arrests bank robbery suspects in Greendale case

9:10 A.M. UPDATE:

Investigators with the Indiana State Police and Greendale Police Department arrested Edward L. Collier, age 44, Indianapolis, and Rheonia L. Jackson, age 24, Indianapolis,  on robbery charges late Thursday night.

The arrests were made following the investigation of the armed robbery of the US Bank on Ridge Avenue in Greendale that took place early yesterday afternoon.

Troopers from the ISP-Indianapolis Post conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle near Indianapolis, Indiana which led to the arrests being made.

More information will be released later today.

Additional charges are possible.

ORIGINAL STORY

GREENDALE — Indiana State Police are seeking information to find a bank robbery suspect who robbed the US Bank on Ridge Avenue in Greendale at about 1 p.m. Thursday.

The investigation determined a black male wearing a disguise entered the bank, displayed a gun, and demanded money from the teller, said Sgt. Stephen Wheeles, Indiana State Police spokesman. The suspect fled with an undetermined amount of money.

Police believe the suspect fled the area in an orangish colored Dodge Charger with a spoiler and sunroof.

The investigation is being conducted by the Indiana State Police and Greendale Police Department.

Wheeles advised to not approach the suspect as he should be considered armed and dangerous.
