Chiropractic firm donates $25,000 to Turning Point

Family Chiropractic and Wellness has donated $25,000 to Turning Point Domestic Violence Services to support Turning Point’s programs and services, including its Emergency Shelter 24/7 Helpline.

In 2019, Turning Point’s Emergency Shelter served 162 adults and their 121 dependent children providing 5,442 nights of shelter, while 1,089 calls were answered through the 800 24/7 Helpline. Additionally, 850 client families were served through their nonresidential services, and 1,209 prevention education presentations were made to students throughout their service area, while 47 professional trainings were provided to local businesses and organizations.

The partnership between Family Chiropractic & Wellness and Turning Point was highlighted during key programming opportunities throughout 2019 such as Dance Marathon in February, Denim Day in April, and the Not-So Newlywed Game and throughout the month of October as it is Domestic Violence Awareness month.

Family Chiropractic and Wellness’ owner, Dr. Mandy Wyant, presented the check to Turning Point officials in December.

Since opening in 2011, Family Chiropractic and Wellness has donated more than $120,000 to local organizations through their Philanthropy of the Year program.
