Indiana University guard Ali Patberg was one of 30 players named to the 2020 Citizens Naismith Trophy Midseason team that was announced by the Atlanta Tipoff Club on Feb. 11.
Patberg, a redshirt junior from Columbus North, finished with 22 points, three rebounds and six assists in an 80-76 loss to Ohio State on Sunday.
The Hoosiers, ranked No. 20 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll, are 20-7 overall and 10-5 in the Big Ten Conference.
Huffman nets career-high

Cedarville guard Ashlyn Huffman scored a career-high 30 points, to go along with nine rebounds and four assists in an 84-76 win over Lake Erie on Saturday.
Huffman, a junior from North, had 10 points, four rebounds and seven assists in an 81-74 loss to Malone on Thursday.
The Yellow Jackets are 17-6.
Guy, Williams secure wins
Marian forward Imani Guy recorded four points, seven rebounds, three blocks and three steals in a 73-44 win over Goshen on Saturday. Forward Elle Williams added three assists in the same contest.
Guy, a junior from North, had 11 points, 10 rebounds, four blocks, two assists and one steal in an 80-65 victory over Bethel on Wednesday. Williams, a senior from North, chipped in five points, three rebounds and two blocks.
The Knights are 25-3.
Weisner in double figures
Earlham guard Amy Weisner finished with 18 points, one rebound, two assists and a steal in a 55-45 win over Mount St. Joseph on Saturday.
Weisner, a senior from North, had 12 points in a 64-58 win over Defiance on Wednesday.
The Quakers are 7-16.
Ballard gets two wins
Franklin College guard Britney Ballard collected four points and a steal in a 57-52 win over Anderson on Saturday.
Ballard, a sophomore from Columbus East, added six points, three rebounds, an assist and a steal in a 58-39 win over Rose-Hulman on Wednesday.
The Grizzlies are 14-9.
Hanover trio winning
Hanover forward Callie Wilder, a freshman from Jennings County, finished with seven points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal in a 67-62 win over Anderson on Wednesday.
Wilder added two points and a steal in a 69-46 win over Bluffton on Saturday. Liz Tynan, a sophomore from North, added two points, and Kat Norman, a sophomore from North, had one block.
The Panthers are 16-6.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
King wins two games
Army forward Alex King recorded eight points, four rebounds and three assists in a 79-66 victory over Lehigh on Saturday.
King, a junior from North, had 12 points, four rebounds and two steals in a 65-48 win over Lafayette.
The Black Knights are 13-12.
Gross nets double-double
Olivet Nazarene center Alex Gross finished with 14 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and five blocks in an 89-65 win over Roosevelt on Saturday.
Gross, a sophomore from Hauser, had seven points, 10 rebounds and four blocks in a 107-74 victory over Saint Ambrose on Wednesday.
The Tigers are 26-2.
Chitty contributes
Bellarmine guard Parker Chitty netted two points, four rebounds and four assists in 90-66 win over Quincy on Saturday.
Chitty, a senior from East, chipped in five points, four assists and two steals in a 61-60 loss to Truman on Thursday.
The Knights are 17-6.
Williams splits games
Hanover forward Kevin Williams finished with 12 points, 11 rebounds, one assist and one steal in a 76-72 loss to Bluffton on Saturday.
Williams, a senior from East, had 14 points and five rebounds in a 73-46 win over Anderson on Wednesday.

WRESTLING
Combest earns honors
University of Indianapolis wrestler Dawson Combest was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Freshman of the Year, and was selected to the All-GLVC first team.
Combest, a redshirt freshman from East and currently ranked No. 11 at Division II at 157 pounds, defeated No. 9 Nate Smalling of McKendree by a 5-2 decision to wrap up the regular season.
Rooks brothers secure wins
Indiana University wrestlers Graham and Cayden Rooks each earn victories in their dual matches on Sunday against SIU Edwardsville.
Graham Rooks, a redshirt freshman from East, won a 9-7 sudden victory at 149 over No. 20 Tyshawn Williams. That was the sixth ranked opponent of the season that Graham Rooks, currently ranked No. 14, has defeated this season.
Cayden Rooks, a freshman from East, won his 20th regular season match with a 14-5 major decision over Jacob Blaha at 133.
The Hoosiers won the dual 24-11.
BASEBALL
Trinkle hits in opener
Indiana University second baseman Cooper Trinkle went 1 for 3 in an 8-1 loss to No. 11 LSU in the first game of a three-game season-opening series on Friday.
Trinkle, a junior from North, then went 0 for 3 in the third game, a 7-2 win on Saturday.
The Hoosiers are 1-2.
Lollar pitches in opener
Western Kentucky pitcher Collin Lollar, a redshirt junior from North, gave up one run, three walks and recorded three strikeouts in two innings in a 9-3 win over Valparaiso in the season opener on Saturday.
The Hilltoppers are 2-1.
Rankin records a hit
Northern Illinois second baseman Wade Rankin went 1 for 3 with a stolen base during a 7-2 loss to Boston College in opening game of a four-game series on Friday.
Rankin, a junior from North, went 0 for 3 in an 11-10 loss in the second game on Saturday.
The Huskies are 1-3.
Greenwell has big debut
Wright State pitcher-right fielder Julian Greenwell went 1 for 3 in a 9-6 loss against No. 9 Mississippi State in the first game of a three game series on Friday.
Greenwell, a freshman from East, went 1 for 3 with a double at the plate, and struck out two while pitching an inning of relief in a 5-1 loss in the third game on Sunday.
The Raiders are 0-3.
Wichman starts strong
Butler second baseman Jonah Wichman went 0 for 2 with two walks and scored a run in a 4-2 season opening win against North Carolina A&T on Friday.
Wichman, a freshman from East, went 2 for 4 with an RBI, stolen base and a walk in a 15-8 victory over George Mason on Saturday.
The Bulldogs are 3-0.
Maddox pitches in relief
Ohio University pitcher Parker Maddox, a freshman from North, struck out two and surrendered one walk in an inning of relief in a 6-3 loss to North Alabama on Saturday.
The Bobcats are 3-1.
Meyer pitches in relief
University of Evansville pitcher Jakob Meyer, a freshman from North, surrendered one run on one hit and a walk while striking out one in an 11-10 loss to Tennessee Tech on Sunday.

Finke makes debut
Southeastern Louisiana center fielder Tyler Finke went 0 for 3 with a walk in a 3-2 season opening win over Louisiana on Friday.
Finke, a junior from North, went 1 for 4 with a stolen base in a 2-0 to Louisiana Tech on Saturday.
The Lions are 1-1.
Crawford pitches in win
University of Indianapolis pitcher Jon Crawford, a junior from East, gave up two hits and two runs and recorded three strikeouts in one inning during an 11-3 win over Hillsdale College on Sunday.
The Greyhounds are 2-1.
SOFTBALL
Sims still solid
Indiana State second baseman Leslie Sims went 4 for 4 with two runs scored and two stolen bases in an 8-6 win over Bowling Green on Friday. Earlier in the day, she went 1 for 3 with an RBI and a walk in an 11-3 loss to Tennessee Tech.
Sims, a senior from Hauser, went 3 for 5 with two RBIs and a run scored in a 10-7 to Ohio University on Saturday. In her other Saturday game against Chattanooga, she went 2 for 3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in a 5-3 loss.
Sims went 1 for 2 with a walk and a stolen bases in a 9-1 loss to Marshall on Sunday.
The Sycamores are 3-6.
Babb hits in loss
Butler catcher Elyse Babb, a redshirt junior from East, went 1 for 3 with a double in a 4-3 tough loss to Presbyterian on Sunday.
The Bulldogs are 8-3.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
Smith still solid
Bellarmine’s Aubrey Smith picked up a come-from-behind win in her No. 3 singles match against Campbellsville’s Rebeca Scurt 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 to help the Knights secure a 6-1 team victory on Saturday. Smith lost her No. 2 doubles match with teammate Jennifer Skonieczny 6-3 to Campbellsville’s Scurt and Madison Hill.
Smith, a junior from North, scored another come-from-behind victory in her No. 4 singles match against Chante Malo of West Virginia State University 4-6, 7-6 (2), 6-4 to help the Knights to a 6-1 team win on Sunday. Smith won in her No. 2 doubles match with teammate Skonieczny 7-6 (3) to West Virginia State’s Gaya Solomon and Maya Haidari.
The Knights are 4-0 this spring and are 7-0 overall for the 2019-20 season.
WOMEN’S TRACK
Tong sets record
Hanover’s Arig Tong, a sophomore from North, set a school record winning the mile run with a time of 5 minutes 17.29 seconds at the DePauw Indoor Invitational on Saturday.
Trine won the invitational over runner-up Hanover 95-90.
Lax running strong
Belmont’s Sierra Lax finished in 10th place in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:15.73 at the Samford Invitational on Friday.
Lax, a senior from North, ran first in the 5,000 meters in 18:00.01 at Marshall’s Thundering Herd Invitational Jan. 24-25.
Diaz is runner-up
University of Saint Francis’ Yami Diaz finished runner-up with teammates Leah Hall, Kelsey Peck and Samantha Wissel in the 4×800 relay with a time of 9:49.68 at the Crossroads League Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday.
Diaz, a freshman from East, ran on the seventh-place 4×400 relay team that ran 4:13.77.
MEN’S TRACK
Sluys finishes tenth
Rose-Hulman’s John Sluys finished 10th in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:13.15 at the DePauw Indoor Invitational on Saturday.
Rose-Hulman won the invitational with a 132 points, besting runner-up Trine’s 98 1/2.
