Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies arrested two people after determining the vehicle they were traveling in had been reported stolen in Columbus.
Deputy Frank Munoz saw the vehicle at 3:42 p.m. Monday traveling south on Lindsey Street and West State Road 46, and noticed the vehicle did not have a license plate.
After making contact with the driver identified as Kyra Anderson, 29, Columbus and a passenger identified as Ricky Stephens, 34, Columbus, deputies discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen, deputies said.
Anderson was arrested on a preliminary charge of receiving stolen property and was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bond.
Stephens was arrested on preliminary charges of theft and criminal trespass and was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail also in lieu of $7,500 bond.
