Columbus Flames hockey participated in the end of the year season tournament for the Buckeye League last weekend.
Squirt Flames Blue beat Central Kentucky Thoroughbreds 3-0, lost to the South Indy Sharks 4-1 and beat the Cincy Swords 3-1 before falling to the South Indy Sharks 4-1 in the championship. Brooks Larsh scored six goals; Aaron Warble and Rowan Correll each added one goal; and Zane Lynch, Grace Wallace, and Gabriel Marsh all had one assist. Canyon Long was in net with a save percentage of 88.41.
Peewee Flames A beat Miami Redhawks 5-2, Easton Ice Dragons 1-0 and Newark Generals 2-1 before falling to Easton Ice Dragons 3-2 in the championship. Westin Davis scored four goals, Wyatt Warner added three goals, Drew Weed netted one goal and one assist, Lance Kitterman and Eduardo Aranda-Michel each notched one goal, and Leif Nelson had three assists. Jackson Wheatley was in net with a save percentage of 88.0.
Peewee Flames B lost to Indy Fuel-Dych 4-2, beat Indy Fuel Kleinke 6-3, and fell to Indy Fuel-Dych again 2-1. River Degner netted four goals and one assist, Vaughn Moenssen added three goals and one assist and Blake Avery and Tyson Tyner each scored one goal. Lane Barringer was in net with a save percentage of 83.6.
Bantam Flames beat Athens 6-4, lost to Columbus Chill 4-2 and fell to Athens 4-2. Caleb McGhehey netted four goals and one assist; Alex Clark added three goals and one assist; Will Kushner had two goals and one assist; Zach Goggins scored one goal and Samuel McGhehey, Jack Warble, Tristan Tyner and Nate Balasia all added one assist. Ben Blanz was in net with a save percentage of 83.72.
Squirt Flames Orange lost to Owensboro A2 5-2 and Evansville A2 6-2. Drew Moenssen scored three goals, Kai Bergmann added one goal and Ryan McGhehey had one assist. Holden Thompson was in net one game, and Hudson Beckom was in net the other game with a save percentage of 57.14.

Jennings County Middle School won 10 matches, but came up just short in a 60-57 loss to Madison on Tuesday.
