Crusaders split pair

DAYTON, Tennessee — Columbus Christian bounced back from a 46-33 loss to Chattanooga Christian on Wednesday morning to beat Heritage Christian (Texas) 54-47 in the afternoon on the opening day of the National Association of Christian Athletes Tournament.

Gabe Ridder led the Crusaders (11-27) with 17 points, while Jacob Conrad added 14 against Heritage. C.J. Reed scored 13, and Ridder had 12 in the opener against Chattanooga Christian.

Columbus Christian was placed in Division 8 and will open tournament play at noon today.

DAYTON, Tennessee — Columbus Christian fell to Arthur Okaw (Illinois) on the first day of NACA play.

The Crusaders (21-6) will play in Division 8 and will open tournament play at 11 a.m. today.
