Bartholomew County Public Library and Hope Branch Library are now closed until at least April 6 (library staff are encouraging the public to use its digital resources.
All locations and bookmobile services are closed effective 1 p.m. today.
The current plan is to reopen on April 6, but the situation will be reassessed then. The closing is to protect library staff and patrons.
Library staff is encouraging the public to visit mybcpl.org to explore books, movies, research tools and more to download and stream. For assistance, email [email protected].
Library staff said patrons should not worry about overdue books or returning items. Any physical items currently checked out will have the due dates extended until the library reopens. Any holds placed will be waiting for patrons to pick up when the library reopens.
