A colorful spring scene featured in “Flower Fly,” created by Girl Scout Troop 210, won the 2010 Tree Cozy Contest in a close race that drew 3,100 votes.

More than 50 production workers at Mariah Packing faced job cuts and the decision whether or not to follow their jobs to Milan, Missouri, as the company completed its transition from a slaughterhouse to a pork processor.

Edward’s 5 and 10 Cent Store and Schiff’s Shoe Store, both on Washington Street in downtown Columbus, announced they were going out of business in April.
