Letter: Open Greenbelt Golf Course

Columbus

The Parks and Recreation Department of Columbus continues to contend Greenbelt is open.

That is misinformation because it is only partially open to the few that can actually walk the course.

The vast majority of seniors and others can’t walk the course meaning the course isn’t open to these golfers. The parks and rec say the carts can’t be used for what reason? They really can’t name anything.

Is it because the carts need to be cleaned? That can’t be the reason because the carts are cleaned as soon as they are turned in.

This has been standard practice since Keith Vandeventer took the reins of this course. Keith and his employees keep the carts spotless each and every day. Keith has done an outstanding job with this golf course.

Do we need wipes to clean the carts before use? Of course we can do that.

All the courses surrounding Columbus have been issuing carts for the past month. Why isn’t Columbus doing the same? There is no reason whatsoever for not allowing carts to be issued.

I simply ask those of us that need carts to be allowed to play, especially at this time. We need to get out and continue to enjoy life.

Please open the carts to everyone. It’s time to get over this disease and return control of our life to the people of this country.

Think about all the misinformation that has been given to the people by the doctors that has become extremely political.
