COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Bartholomew County Sheriff Department has made an arrest in a child molesting investigation that began in January, 2019.
Bret A. Caldwell, 55, of 4670 E. County Road 550N, Clifford, has been arrested on preliminary charges of two counts of Level 1 felony child molesting, two counts of Level 4 felony sexual misconduct with a minor, Level 6 felony contributing to the delinquency of a minor and Level 6 felony sexual battery, according to sheriff deputies.
Caldwell remains in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $1 million bond, jail officials said.
