Alice Seale Ritchie, 87, of Hope, died at 3:50 a.m. May 22, 2020, at Miller’s Merry Manor.
Alice was born December 22, 1932, in Princeton, Indiana, the daughter of Wallace Leroy and Louise Shaw Tetrick. She married Homer I. Seale and he preceded her in death in 1976. She then married Albert Ritchie and he preceded her in 1992.
She had previously worked at Arvins and Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation. Alice also sold Avon, but her lifelong ministry was sharing the love of Jesus Christ with whomever she met. She was a member of the Bible Church of Columbus.
She enjoyed riding motorcycles through all 50 states, Canada, and Mexico.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2020, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Day Sr. officiating. Calling will be 10 a.m. until time of service Friday. Following the service, she will be laid to rest next to Homer in Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in memory of Alice may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or the Bible Church of Columbus Building Fund through the funeral home.
Survivors include her sons, Dennis Seale of Hope and Tony (Joanie) Seale of Dadeville, Missouri; grandchildren, Denise Seale, Jennifer Dominguez, Mark Seale II, Zachary Seale, Heather Seale Maurer, Katie Seale and Rachael Seale; great-grandchildren, Felicia Hoover, Jessica DeBusk, Toni Decker, Grayson Seale and Lindsay Seale; and great-great grandchildren, Paisley Hall, Tosh Hoover, Kiella Hoover, Gauge DeBusk and Hannah DeBusk.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Homer and Albert; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Seale; brothers, Riley, Vernon, Leroy and Warren Tetrick; and sisters, Rosemary Galusha, Gladys Garrigus, Geneva Brown, Elizabeth Dearing, Gertrude Scott, Helen Brewer and Carol Cline.
