• the first class of graduates from the jail’s addiction treatment program, what a great accomplishment for all of you!

• Deputy Carlson of Bartholomew County Sheriff Department for the tremendous professionalism and support on Saturday, from a grateful family.

• police around the world, thank you!

• the very professional and respectful behavior from our local law enforcement.

• law enforcement exhibiting more Andy Griffith and less Rambo-style behavior toward every single American citizen.

• Joe Biden for demonstrating empathetic leadership when going to Houston to console the family of George Floyd.

• the TV news channels for reducing my electric bill.

• all the CPD officers for protecting our families and properties.

• whoever turned in my phone at Aldi’s and the folks there who helped me find it.

• Laura at CVS on Beam Road for always having such a nice personality and being so helpful, from Loretta.

• Brad Meyer of Richardson’s Home Improvement for the expert job he did on our entry doors, from the Bogards.

• Becky Church of Becky’s Flowers for the outstanding job on the planter boxes in downtown Columbus, they are as gorgeous as ever.

• the sheriff’s department for being so prompt and courteous when someone needs their help.

• the “no-defund police” president.

• our president who fights for the best interest for all Americans.

Onions to …

• individuals claiming they are fighting racism and injustice by looting, breaking the law and using racist language towards others.

• those who, just before the start of a bill-signing event, moved all the reporters’ chairs very close together.

• all those who have tried to make us all germaphobes and causing our elected leaders at all levels to subvert the Constitution by putting most of us on house arrest.

• those who try to divide us with flip-flops on wearing face masks.

• closing a city street for seating for a private business.

• the elected official for the constant self-promoting Facebook posts and pictures.

• anyone saying all police are bad.

• those still using the offensive term “minority.”

• organizations making ridiculous demands not thinking of the outcome.

• protesters shoving the world down a hole we may never survive.

• the referendum for public raises during a pandemic.

• the federal elected official who if he loves his country so much, should be a good example and wear a mask and lead us in singing the national anthem — every other world leader does.

• the federal elected official who is a legend in his mind.

• those self-centered, non-caring individuals who refuse to mask up when out in public.

• anyone allowing gatherings with hundreds of people.

• those who are more upset about the federal elected official holding up a Bible than a historical church being burned and vandalized by rioters.

• the federal elected official and his bunker mentality.

• closing a public roadway to accommodate a private business.

• not supporting all lives matter including the lives of the unborn.

• organizers who allowed a candidate running for office to speak instead of letting people in town speak.

• the non-profit giving out gift bags to certain employees but didn’t recognize the other half.

• those who haven’t noticed the large number of police receiving concussions at the so-called peaceful protests.

• the political party that constantly sows racial strife.

• the people who think the federal elected official is so bad.
