• Gen. Mark Milley for apologizing for being at the site of the burned church where peaceful American citizens were sprayed with pepper spray and apologized for created a perception of the military involved in domestic politics.

• the names of military bases around the country being renamed for military personnel who did fight for our country rather than their current names.

• those fighting systemic racism and for calling out racism wherever they see it.

• Susan Cox for her article on racism and her recommendation of the movie “Just Mercy” which had a powerful message, from Jan and Jon.

• Dusty Renner for a thoughtful and purposeful letter on how we can all work and learn to be more anti-racist.

• Robert Haysmith for many years of wonderful entertainment at the Harlequin Theatre, you will be missed.

• the Target cashiers and several customers for getting water and a wheelchair and being helpful and considerate to an older lady on Wednesday.

• the federal elected official who pays no attention to internal briefings but rather reacts to the alternative facts he hears on his favorite TV channel.

• the writers of endless harangues whose political party can’t — and won’t — fill a primary ballot with candidates of their own.

• the federal leader who assured us in March the virus would go away — there are now 116,000 deaths and he is planning rallies with thousands of people.

• the box store employees wearing masks around their necks instead of on their faces.

• those who are trying to shut down Greenbelt Golf Course, it is a family-friendly course that needs to stay.

• all the protestors who helped start the second wave of the virus.

• the federal elected official who has no ability to demonstrate empathy at a time when the country is confronting three overlapping crises.

• the federal elected official who is out of touch with most Americans.

• the federal elected official’s horrible comment that it was beautiful when the military police cut through American citizens like a knife through butter.

• the federal elected official planning to hold a rally on Juneteenth in Tulsa which is a slap in the face to African Americans.
