Correction

Because of a Republic error, the author of a letter to the editor published June 12 incorrectly stated that none of the four officers involved in the death of George Floyd had body cameras turned on. It’s unclear whether or not the cameras were on, according to reporting so far. Body cam footage by the officers involved in Floyd’s death has not been released in the ongoing investigation.
