COLUMBUS
Carl A. Roberts, 80, of Columbus, died at 7:20 a.m. June 17, 2020, at his home.
Carl was born November 8, 1939, in Brown County, the son of Melvin and Doris White Roberts. He married Ella Louise McGuire July 27, 1974.
Carl retired from Arvins after 28 years of service.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2020, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor James Wood officiating. Calling will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service Monday. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Ella; stepson, Rickie McCoy of Scipio; sister, Ethel (C.C.) Rook of Freetown; grandchildren, Danielle Meek of Florida, Jeremy McMillen of Washington and Kyle Ballard of Columbus; and a nephew Josh Roberts and niece, Hope.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Evelyn James and Terry Lynn Ballard; and brothers, Donald, Robert and Dale, and sisters, Leona and Betty.
