Columbus Regional Health has partnered with an outside provider who will begin managing the hospital system’s therapy services next month.
As part of the agreement, the provider, PT Solutions, will manage CRH’s existing therapy services beginning Aug. 16.
CRH spokesman Joel Philippsen said 81 CRH employees will have the opportunity to transfer their employment to PT Solutions.
PT Solutions describes itself as a “therapist-owned physical therapy practice” and operates at least 185 points of service in 17 states, according to the company’s website. A holding company formed under the name of the company’s CEO, Dale Yake, registered to do business in Indiana on June 29, according to public records.

CRH officials characterized the partnership as a “growth opportunity” to expand services and “offer a smooth employment transition from Columbus Regional Health to PT Solutions.”
There was never any intent to reduce employees in the therapy service line, Philippsen said.
“These therapy services will remain CRH service lines but will be managed by PT Solutions,” he said. “With this change, we don’t anticipate any disruption in services for our patients.”
Currently, CRH operates several therapy facilities, including outpatient physical therapy at Marr Road Outpatient Center and Mill Race Center in Columbus and Nashville Physical Therapy in Nashville, and an Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Columbus Regional Hospital.
The hospital system also offers speech therapy and physical rehabilitation services, among others.
The facilities will retain their current names under the agreement with PT Solutions, Philippsen said.
