Duke Energy says equipment failure caused power outage

Duke Energy said an equipment failure in a substation led to a power outage on the north side of Columbus and along 25th Street Thursday night, affecting about 5,200 customers.

Crews are on site to make repairs and power has been restored to some customers within the last hour. Estimated full restoration time is 11:30 p.m., the utility said. Those customers whose power is still out should call 800-343-3525.
