COLUMBUS — No one can say Columbus residents have lost their sense of humor, even in the midst of a pandemic and mask mandate.

The city’s iconic “Crack the Whip” sculpture by Jo Saylor shows the whimsical scene complete with a few masks on the children caught in time playing the classic game in downtown Columbus.

In the winter, the sculpture has also had hats and scarves on the youngsters, who are visible as you drive eastbound into Columbus from Jonathan Moore Pike.
