Atterbury Sea Cadets, a year-round, nonprofit educational program for youth, will have an outreach and recruiting event Saturday at Mill Race Park.
Cadets receive unique training opportunities emphasizing community service, physical fitness and giving access to accelerated promotion opportunities for those who enlist in one of the U.S. military branches.
The program is intended for young people ages 13 through high school.
The Sea Cadet program may be used as a service-based learning experience to satisfy the employability skills requirement of Indiana’s Graduation Pathways requirement.
