Mary M. Snapp, 91, of Bloomington, formerly of Columbus, died Thursday, September 17, 2020.
Mary was born on December 18, 1928 in Indianapolis to Edward and Marjorie (Brandenburg) Helwig.
On November 17, 1951 she married Dr. Richard A. Snapp, M.D. Together they had six children, five of whom survive.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Dr. Robert A. Snapp, M.D.; and her brother, Thomas Helwig.
Surviving are her loving children, Richard A. (Carrie) Snapp of Bloomington, Yves M. Yarborox of San Francisco, CA, Thomas E. (Deb) Snapp of Valparaiso, Lisa (Jeff) Dinsmore of Story, and Carol (Ernie) Sanford of Richland, WA. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service adhering to CDC guidelines relating to COVID-19 will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials in Mary’s name are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
