Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies are seeking a search warrant for the victim’s vehicle, which was found in Indianapolis today.
Sheriff Department Chief Deputy Maj. Chris Lane said detectives determined Monday morning that an SUV was missing from the home in Waynesville and issued an “all-points bulletin” to locate it.
Indianapolis police found the vehicle in Indianapolis and detectives are now on their way to Indianapolis to pick it up, at the same time obtaining a search warrant for the vehicle, Lane said.
Bartholomew County Sheriff Matt Myers said a family member had gone to the home Monday morning and discovered the victim and notified police.

COLUMBUS, Ind. –Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies are investigating the death of a female discovered in a home in the 2700 block of East South Street in Waynesville.
Sheriff Matt Myers said deputies were called 6:28 a.m. Monday to a “possible code” at the address where deputies located a deceased female with suspicious injuries.
Deputies secured the scene and notified the Bartholomew County Death Investigation Team.
Indiana State Police are processing the scene along with Bartholomew County Coroner Clayton Nolting.
Myers said no further information is being released at this time.
