A Medora man was arrested following a short struggle that ensued while he was being detained on Sunday, Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies said.
At approximately 5:22 p.m. Sunday, Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Deputy Dylan Prather stopped to check on a disabled vehicle in the area of East County Road 400S and South Jonesville Road, where one of the parties involved gave Prather a false name, deputies said.
Later, deputies found that the man, correctly identified as Albert Wayne Hill, 50, Medora, had an outstanding warrant issued earlier this year, deputies said.
Hill was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of an out-of-county warrant, false informing and resisting law enforcement, deputies said.
Hill was being held in the jail without bond, jail officials said.
