Columbus police closed the northbound lanes of U.S. 31 for about an hour Monday after two SUVs collided at Lowell Road, blocking the intersection.
First responders were sent to the intersection at about 11 a.m. Monday where one of the vehicles had overturned after the collision, possibly multiple times and landed upside down in a ditch, police said.
A woman was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated from the SUV by firefighters, police said. She was transported to Columbus Regional Hospital while the other driver was not believed to be injured, police said.
