In an effort to put another officer on the street during busy night time hours, Columbus Police Department discontinued keeping an officer on duty at the station after 6 p.m.

1995

Despite chilly temperatures, residents crowded the streets near city hall to watch a parade, taste a limitless variety of food, listen to music and watch Ethnic Expo’s first fireworks display.

A 23-member drug abuse committee was formed to determine the extent of drug abuse in the county and promote a program of keeping parents, teachers and pupils informed.
