Sherry L. Tucker, 75, of Columbus, passed away October 12, 2020.
She was born January 20, 1945 at Indianapolis to the late Howard Tucker and Jeanne Sexton Myers.
She was employed 30 years at Cummins Engine Co., retiring in 1995. After retirement, Sherry volunteered at Hospice of South Central Indiana for 17 years. In prior years she had been a member of Indiana Business and Professional Women’s Club.
She enjoyed the Indianapolis Colts, vacations, traveling and winters in Florida.
Sherry is survived by her life partner Rita Jarrett, sisters; Sandra (Steve) Schaefer of Columbus and Kathy (Robert) Freeman of Columbus and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Tom Long will officiate a service at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 16th at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 AM until the service at the funeral home. A grave-side service will take place at Garland Brook Cemetery followed by an Internment.
