Police investigate intoxicated man waving a knife inside Joe Willy’s

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus police were sent to the Joe Willy’s restaurant in downtown Columbus at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday on a report of a customer brandishing a knife inside the facility.

The man was extremely intoxicated, Columbus police said, and an ambulance took him from the scene. No injuries were reported.

Police are investigating whether the man was chased out of the restaurant or left on is own volition.
