EDWARDSVILLE, IL
Beverly Kay Tempest, 76 , passed away Novemebr 7 in Edwardsville, IL. Beverly Barker was born July 15, 1944, in Columbus, Indiana to Donald and Isabelle Barker. She grew up in Grammer, Indiana where she met the love of her life, Alfred Jr Tempest. Beverly and Alfred were married on July 18, 1964 in Grammer Presbyterian Church.
She was a homemaker and worked at Ivy Tech as an Assistant to the Dean. She was a life long member of Home Economics Club 24. Beverly enjoyed card club, fishing, camping, geneology and movies. She feircly loved her 8 grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; Her Father Donald and Mother Isabelle.
Beverly is survived by her son, Brian (Renee)Tempest; Daughter, Kristie (Michael) Bailey, son, Douglas (Pamela) Tempest; Grandchildren, Madison, Courtney, Michael, Abigail, Gabriel, Magdalene, Emma and Max. Her Brothers Duane and Garry Barker and Sister Marcia Schwering.
A visitation for Beverly will be held Friday, November 13th from 4 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel. Additional visitation will be Saturday November 14th from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m, and a Funeral Sevice at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Aerie in Greensburgh.
In Keeping with Indiana guidelines, social distancing myst be followed and masks are required. You may also be asked to wait outdside due to the social distanced capacity of the funeral home.
