Asbury United Methodist Church — Asbury is offering an in-person traditional service at 8:45 a.m. and a contemporary service at 11 a.m. each Sunday beginning Nov. 8. Services will also be livestreamed. A video recording will be available at https://www.asburycolumbus.org/come/online-worship/

Children’s church will also resume in person on Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. for children ages 3 to 12 years old.

Asbury Kids, for first- through sixth-graders, meets each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Join in for an activity, snack, Bible story, and time of prayer. East Columbus Christian Church — In-person services are at 10 a.m. each week and follow social distancing guidelines. Masks are available. Online worship is live through YouTube and Facebook at 10 a.m. each week. Sunday morning children’s church is at 10 a.m.

Sunday night youth group is at the church from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

East Columbus United Methodist — Sunday morning worship begins at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary with the implementation of the recommended in-person worship guidelines. Social distancing guidelines include a face covering (face masks will be provided for those needing one), seating every other pew, no passing of offering plates, no handshaking or hugging, and the use of pre-packaged communion supplies. Holy communion is served the first Sunday of each month.

Sunday school will be held immediately following the morning service and classrooms have been arranged to follow social distancing guidelines. Sunday evening service begins at 6 p.m. in the chapel. Seating has been arranged to follow social distancing guidelines.

The weekly service will continue to be available for viewing online through the church’s Facebook and YouTube pages.

Fairlawn Presbyterian — Weekly worship services are on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. via Zoom. (Links and numbers below or you can check fairlawnpc.net or visit the church’s Facebook page for login and phone information.)

Faith Lutheran Church — The church livestreams worship each Sunday on Facebook at Faith Lutheran Church — Columbus Indiana.

The church is also meeting in person each Sunday at 9 a.m., and will be following specific health guidelines. Most Sundays, an adult bible study will follow worship at 10:30 a.m. There will also be Wednesday evening worship at 6:30 p.m. that will follow strict health guidelines, specifically for those who are most vulnerable. Daily prayer is livestreamed most weekdays at 7 a.m. All are welcome to worship.

First Christian Church — The church is offering in-person and online services at 9 and 10:30 a.m. The earlier service is reserved for those 65 and older and the 10:30 a.m. service is open for all ages. The church has activity packs available for children.

First Baptist — The church is now holding public worship gatherings on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. The church also offers a livestream of worship connection via its website www.firstbaptistcolumbus.org or https://FirstBaptist Columbus.online.church.

First Lutheran Church — The church is offering in-person worship services on Sunday mornings at 8:45 a.m. for the classic service and 11:15 a.m. for the casual service. Livestreaming of both services can be accessed on electronic devices at www.youtube.com/user/FLCColumbus.

First Presbyterian — The church will have a service via livestream at 9:30 a.m. Sunday on Facebook and Zoom. Join in at https://www. facebook.com/groups/ 56933406910/ or https://zoom.us/j/214025301.

Those in the community in need of a meal are invited to the Hot Meals program, which is offered Friday at 5 p.m. The church is an LGBTQ-friendly church.

First United Methodist — On Nov. 15, at 8:30 a.m., Rev. Howard Boles will deliver the message “Entrusted to Your Care.” The scripture will be Matthew 25:14-30.

Doors for the service will be opened at 8 a.m., and the church asks that attendees enter through the narthex doors on Eighth Street or through the Lafayette Street doors. Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrances to the sanctuary. The church asks that everyone attending wear a mask while they are in the building. Masks will be available for those who don’t have one. The church will be practicing social distancing. The church will not be having childcare, children’s moment, or Sunday school at this time.

For those that aren’t able to make it to the in-person service or are not yet comfortable meeting in person, the church will continue to have a 10 a.m. livestream of their service on their Facebook page. The service will also be available on the church website for later viewing as well.

On Nov. 21, from 9 a.m. until noon, the church will have its annual Cookie Walk. The church asks that participants drive up to the Lafayette Street entrance, where they will order and receive their cookies. Cookies will be sold for $7 a pound, and candies will be sold for $5 per half a pound. Cash only.

Nov. 22 will be Youth Sunday, where the children and youth group from the church will be in charge of presenting the service.

Flintwood Wesleyan — Sunday morning worship begins at 9 a.m. with The Amplify (contemporary) service. Sunday school follows with classes for all ages at 10 a.m. The Well service (traditional) begins at 11 a.m. Both worship services are led by Pastor Wesley Jones. The church’s Sunday Amplify services are livestreamed on YouTube at 9 a.m.

Sunday evening is devoted to Celebrate Recovery meetings. The meetings are designed to assist in ridding hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Meeting begin at 6 p.m. with getting to know each other, singing, and a lesson are open to the public. At 7 p.m., there is an open share meeting that splits into a group for women and a group for men. Safe child care is available.

Small group Bible study is on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. The study is studying the church beginnings through the Book of Acts. The group is meeting in The Friendship Center. New members are welcome.

Wednesday activities begin with a meal served at 5:30 p.m. in The Friendship Center. This is followed by iKids at 6:15 p.m. IKids is a program for kids pre-K through sixth grade. The church prayer team will also met at 6:15 p.m. in the prayer room. Our Youth will meet at 6:30 p.m. and adult Bible study meets at 7 p.m. in the main sanctuary.

The church is participating in Operation Christmas Child. Shoeboxes are ready to be picked up and filled up. Contact Kim Rutan in the church office with questions. This is Collection week! The last day to drop off your shoebox at church is Nov. 22. Remember what goes into a shoebox is fun; what comes out is eternal.

Fredonia Community Church — The church will be holding an anniversary service on Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. at the church. The service will be hosted by Brother Brandon and Sister Susan Blevins from the Greater Vision Ministries of Metamora. Their Praise Team will be providing special singing. Everyone is welcome!

Grace Lutheran — Grace celebrates the Twenty-fourth Sunday after Pentecost with the message, “Grace precedes work, but grace precedes work,” based on Matthew 25:14-30. Services are livestreamed at www.gracecolumbus.org at 8 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday School is live-streamed at 9:30 a.m.

Mt. Pleasant Christian Union Church — The church is having a new member drive in November. If you’ve been a Christian for years or if you just decided to learn more about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, this little country church would like to meet you. Everyone is welcome. Services are at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday and 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Newbern United Methodist Church — The church is practicing strict COVID-19 preventative measures. Masks are required. All activities are postponed until further notice except for Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. and online Bible study each Wednesday at 7 p.m. via Zoom.

North Christian Church — Rev. Tonja Gerardy is continuing Sunday services at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday morning via YouTube. Search North Christian Church Columbus Indiana to join.

Join the conversation via Zoom on Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m. The church will continue to explore Biblical characters whose lives unraveled. Each session is wholly independent from the others. Participants can choose to come and go as able. There is no book to purchase or any advance reading to complete.

The staff continues to work remotely. No building access is available at this time. The church will continue to monitor this ever-changing situation and update their response as appropriate.

Old Union United Church of Christ — Scriptures for the 10 a.m. Sunday service, the Twenty-fourth Sunday after Pentecost will include Zaphaniah 1:7, 12-18; 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11; and Matthew 25:14-30. The message will be “Starting is the First Step.”

The church has applied social distancing guidelines. Face coverings are required, but can be provided by the church for those that need one. Seating is spaced two arm-widths apart for non-relatives. Seating is every other pew and there will be no fellowship in the basement, no passing of the peace, and no handshaking or hugging.

Petersville United Methodist Church — The church will not be meeting in-person for worship again until the first Sunday in Advent, Nov. 29.

Pastor Rebecca Milne will be posting her sermons on the Petersville UMC website. Teresa Covert and Karen Mize will present a message for the children each week, also on the church website.

Sandy Hook United Methodist — Sandy Hook United Methodist church gathers weekly for in-person worship. The church offers two services: 8:45 a.m. is a traditional service and 11 a.m. is a contemporary service. On Nov. 15, Pastor Paul Dazet will bring the message corresponding with “EMPOWER” as part of the sermon series INTERSECTIONS” — Reading the Bible on Your Own. Communion will be served during both services.

Those attending will be required to wear masks, and they will be available if needed. Seating will be marked and will be socially distanced. Sanitizer is available. Attendees should not gather in groups inside the church.

Nursery provisions are provided during both services and children’s church during the 11 a.m. service. Fellowship time will not take place. Sunday school classes will be offered for all ages at 10 a.m.

Sardinia Baptist Church — The church will be holding their 58th annual Harvest Day Celebration on Nov. 15 at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Tom Rust will bring a special message and Cheryl Thill will bring special music. A pitch-in meal will follow at 12:30 p.m.

St. Paul Episcopal Church — In-person worship has resumed at the church, 2651 California St., Columbus, with Sunday Eucharistic Services at 8 a.m. (Rite 1) and 10:15 a.m. (Rite 2).

The church follows a strict protocol that includes masks, social distancing, and no singing.

Zoom is used to livestream the 10:15 a.m. Sunday service, for participation in the Tuesday Morning Bible Study at 11 a.m., and the Thursday Evening office of Compline at 8 p.m. Information & Zoom meeting ID’s can be found on the church website: stpaulsclumbus.org.

St. Paul Lutheran — Pastor Doug Bauman will present the message ”The Big Day” based on I Thessalonians 5:1-11 at the 8 and 10:45 a.m. worship services that will follow all CDC guidelines for social distancing.

Christian fellowship begins at 9:10 a.m. including Desserts for Dora, a bake-sale for freewill donations. Christian education for all ages follows at 9:30 a.m. The Spanish worship service will be in the Fellowship Room at 10:45 a.m. with Spanish Sunday School at noon. In-person worship service with communion is held each Wednesday at 4:45 p.m. in the church followed by Bible study on the book of Luke at 6 p.m. Wednesday’s worship service will be posted online the following day at www.stpaulcolumbus.org

Radio worship service every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. on 1010 AM and 98.1 FM.

Wednesday morning Bible class meets at 9 a.m. at the church studying the book of Jeremiah.

Westside Community Church — Pastor Dennis Aud will lead the service this Sunday at 10 a.m. Masks are required. The 87.9 FM transmission will continue to be available in the parking lot for those choosing not to enter the building.

WCC nursery and children’s church will remain closed at this time. At-risk individuals should remain at home, and those who have or have recently had, symptoms should also remain at home.
