The Bartholomew County Republican Party selected Greg Duke to fill the vacancy created when former Councilwoman Laura DeDomenic resigned her seat on Oct. 20.
There were 15 District 2 Precinct Committeeman there to vote Wednesday and in the first ballot selected Duke to fill the vacancy. His term will end Dec. 31, 2022 and will be up for election at that time along with the other three District County Council seats.
