COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County officials announced a new set of COVID-19 restrictions Wednesday, including closing all county buildings beginning Thursday until at least Dec. 7 to avoid a post-Thanksgiving surge in COVID-19 cases.
Once those facilities reopen a week-and-a-half later, it’s likely the courthouse, as well as many other county offices, will be open to the public only by appointment through Christmas, Bartholomew County commissioners’ chairman Carl Lienhoop said.
“We will essentially operate as we did during the month of March,” Lienhoop said.
