GREENSBURG
Myrtle M. Pittman, 87, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2020 at the Columbus Regional Hospital.
She was born on November 24, 1932 in London, Kentucky, the daughter of Andrew Louis and Elsie (Green) Blanton.
She attended Burney High School and was a member of the Eagles #927 Auxiliary and the Waynesburg Christian Church.
Myrtle was a “Social Butterfly”. She loved music and dancing, playing cards, crocheting, and especially loved being with her family.
She married Evert Ray Pittman on October 27, 1948 and he preceded her in death on May 30, 1977.
Survivors include one son, Wayne (Cathy) Pittman, Westport; three daughters, Lorene Rudolph, Columbus, Pamela (Eugene) Hall, Florida, Melody Stone, Westport; two brothers, Ed Blanton and Kenneth Blanton; three sisters, Diana Blanton, Elsie Goins, Barbara Pokorzynski; 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brothers, Rodger Dale, Charlie Clay, Louis Junior, Stanley, and William Earl Blanton; sisters, Lillie Bell Voiles, Louise Idlewine, and Shirley Proctor.
Visitation for family and friends, observing CDC and state guidelines for social distancing and facial coverings will be held on Friday, November 27, 2020 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. The service will be broadcast live on the funeral home Facebook page. Burial will follow at the Milford Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Waynesburg Christian Church.
