SOUNDS OF JOY! A CSO HOLIDAY RECITAL, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Dec. 6, online. Join the CSO for a family-friendly, virtual recital. This concert will feature string soloists from the orchestra including concertmaster Phil Palermo and assistant concertmaster Laura Andrews performing a selection of wintery solo works. This event will be livestreamed on the orchestra’s Facebook page. Josh Aerie, music director, and Rachel Wilken, board president, will provide a brief introduction. JIM GILL CONCERT VIA YOUTUBE, all day, Dec. 7-9. The Bartholomew County Public Library presents Jim Gill. Children need to move and play and Jim Gill’s specialty is to create songs that are an invitation to play. Jim’s concert will provide everyone a chance to experience the joy that singing and playing together brings. WHERE DOES YOUR MONEY GO? A free online program through Dec. 31 will guide participants through the creation of their spending and savings plan and provide practical resources for them to use in their own lives. The six-module course includes videos, interactive activities, self-assessments and downloadable spending tracking forms. The program is self-paced and can be completed at the viewer’s convenience. Participants should allow approximately four to six weeks to complete the modules and associated activities. After completion of the course, participants will understand how current money management practices affect financial security, how to establish good financial management practices and new habits that create personal financial security. Best practices that will be explored and discussed include identifying spending leaks, categorizing needs vs. wants, tracking expenses and establishing written financial goals. The “Balthazar Korab: Photographer of Architecture” exhibit continues in Gallery 506, black and white historic photos of iconic Columbus architecture. “Avenue of the Architects,” an exhibition by Ball State students in architecture and historic preservation began July 1. SHARING THE HISTORY AND HERITAGE OF BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, Bartholomew County Historical Society, 524 Third St., Columbus.
