A cold, wet, snowy weekend was forecast for the first weekend in December, creating a holiday feel for the Festival of Lights parade.

The Coca-Cola Polar Bear led the annual Electric Lights Christmas Parade through downtown Columbus streets lined with an estimated 27,000 spectators.

Unseasonably warm weather brought Christmas shoppers out in droves to the downtown business district and the city’s two shopping centers.
