Duke Energy has dedicated $460,000 to customers who are struggling to pay their electrical bills this winter in Indiana. The money comes from corporate contributions and customer donations.
Duke Energy President Stan Pinegar said the total brings the amount dedicated in 2020 to energy assistance to $600,000, which includes pandemic bill relief funds distributed earlier this year.
The company works with the Indiana Community Action Association and the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority’s Energy Assistance Program, which determines eligibility and distributes the funds. Qualifying Duke Energy customers may receive up to $300.
