East-Jeffersonville
JEFFERSONVILLE — Columbus East jumped out to a 35-17 halftime lead Saturday and went on to post a 59-49 Hoosier Hills Conference win at Jeffersonville.
Koryn Greiwe led the Olympians (7-4, 2-0) with 18 points. Leah Bachmann and Gabby Dean each added 10.
Brown County-Sullivan
SULLIVAN — Brown County fell behind 26-15 after one quarter, and Sullivan held on for a 59-58 Western Indiana Conference victory.
Abby Fleetwood led the Eagles (2-2, 1-1) with 26 points. Abigail Watson scored 12, and Anna Fleetwood added 10.
South Decatur-Union County
LIBERTY — South Decatur led 19-17 at halftime, but were outscored 15-2 in the third quarter and fell 42-31 at Union County.
Lana Bell led the Cougars (2-6) with 15 points.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Jennings-Austin
NORTH VERNON — Jennings County led by only two at halftime before pulling away for a 65-51 win against Austin.
Carson McNulty and Jacob Vogel each scored 11 points to lead the Panthers (2-1). Keegan Manowitz added nine points, three assists and three steals.
Edinburgh-North Decatur
GREENSBURG — Edinburgh remained unbeaten with a 62-36 Mid-Hoosier Conference win at North Decatur.
Travis Jones led the Lancers (5-0, 2-0) with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Caleb Dewey scored 16 points, while Isaac Roberts had 13 and Noah Detling added 10.
South Decatur-Greensburg
GREENSBURG — Class 3A No. 4 Greensburg posted an 81-73 win at 2A No. 10 South Decatur in a battle of ranked teams.
Lane Lauderbaugh led the Cougars (1-2) with 32 points. Tyler Johnson scored 18, and Tyler Sporleder added 12.
WRESTLING
Olympians go 2-2
INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus East went 2-2 to finish third in the Perry Meridian Invitational. The Olympians fell to Carmel 35-24 and Perry Meridian 42-20 before beating Whiteland 60-12 and Greenfield-Central 56-18.
Tyler Williams (152 pounds), Sam Morrill (170) and Ashton Hartwell (285) all went 4-0 for East. Liam Krueger (106), Noah Lykins (113), Reece Fisher (132) and Kade Law (160) went 3-1; and Tony Tapia (138), Eli Pollitt (145), Jaden Durnil (182) and Tommy Morrill (220) went 2-2.
